Heinlein Group strengthens management team and expands into Switzerland

The Heinlein Group is continuing on its growth path: Following the appointment of entrepreneur and open source expert Jutta Horstmann as Co-CEO of the Heinlein Group in mid-September, we are now pleased to announce two further strategic management appointments as well as the opening of a Swiss branch in Zurich. This underlines our commitment to actively shaping an open, secure and digitally sovereign future in Europe.

The Heinlein Group has stood for secure and independent IT for over 30 years. With the open source expert Heinlein Support and the superior communication and collaboration solutions mailbox, OpenTalk and OpenCloud, we already offer central building blocks for an independent digital infrastructure. From IT consulting, e-mail and video conferencing to file management.

New CEO for OpenCloud: Chris Hendriks

Chris Hendriks, an experienced open source entrepreneur, is taking over the management of OpenCloud. With his consulting firm, the Dutchman has supported numerous large companies in setting up sovereign IT architectures for over two decades. For him, open source is a key component in enabling organizations, authorities and private individuals to achieve true data sovereignty. - We are very pleased that we were able to win him over for OpenCloud.

"I look forward to working with the OpenCloud team to further develop our cloud-native solution for file management, file sharing and collaboration and to establish OpenCloud as a central element of a sovereign European cloud infrastructure," said Chris Hendriks.

Thomas Fundneider becomes Sales Director of the Heinlein Group and CEO of Heinlein (Schweiz) GmbH

We are also broadening our sales organization: With Thomas Fundneider, we are gaining an experienced Sales Director who will bundle the Group's sales activities and drive expansion in the European market. The Swiss national was most recently Managing Director of SNP (Schweiz) AG and Head of Sales for several years. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in the sale of complex IT solutions and the development of sales organizations and partner networks. - We are delighted to welcome him to our team for the expansion of digital sovereignty in Germany and Europe.

"The Heinlein Group's modern and flexible solutions, combined with comprehensive IT services, make the transition from existing systems much easier. I am looking forward to systematically expanding the Heinlein Group's presence in the European core markets," says Thomas Fundneider.

More than growth: responsibility for digital sovereignty

In order to finally make Europe digitally sovereign and thus politically resilient, we need companies with great vision and strong performance. With our strengthened management team and the new Swiss branch, we are taking this path and are ready for it. The Heinlein Group is growing, innovative and efficient. This is how we offer real answers for Europe.

The path to digital independence requires not only professional and user-friendly solutions, but also knowledge, planning and support with migration, integration and training. With our offerings, our experience and strong partners, the Heinlein Group shows that digital sovereignty has long been feasible. Solutions like mailbox, OpenTalk and OpenCloud and the expertise of Heinlein Support make the changeover possible: transparent, independent and reliable in the long term.
