Founder & CEO

Peer Heinlein

Peer Heinlein is a law graduate, entrepreneur, specialist author and high-profile open source specialist. He has been shaping secure digital communication for over 30 years. His credo: digital resilience requires digital sovereignty - and this can only be achieved with open source. He shapes political, strategic and technical debates through keynotes, publications and events and creates concrete solutions.

As founder and Managing Director of the Heinlein Group with Heinlein Support, mailbox, OpenTalk and OpenCloud, he offers companies, public authorities and private individuals genuine digital sovereignty, security and sustainability. He is also involved in the board of the Open Source Business Alliance, the ICT committee of the DIHK and is actively shaping Europe's digital future.

Co-CEO

Jutta Horstmann

Jutta Horstmann is a computer scientist, entrepreneur and open source expert. She has been Co-CEO of the Heinlein Group since September 2025 and drives the strategic development of the Group and its solutions that enable digital sovereignty, security and sustainability for companies and public institutions.

With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, she has successfully founded companies and managed them as CEO, CTO and COO. She most recently demonstrated her expertise in the field of digital sovereignty as Managing Director of the Center for Digital Sovereignty (ZenDiS), where she supported the introduction of innovative open source solutions in public administration. As a sought-after speaker, she shares her insights on digital transformation, leadership and open source technologies at international conferences.
